2007 books read

This year's new books read total 69, of which 2 were nonfiction. Must do better! (I'm contemplating abstaining from (other people's) written fiction for as long as I can stick it in the new year: on previous preformance, that might be a couple of weeks.)

My goals for 2007 were:

Feed myself better, and try not to lose any more weight.

I wasn't actually intending to go as far as learning to cook, but I think I'm getting there.

Keep more sensible hours.

Didn't happen, alas. Try again in 2008.


Write. At least something every week. Finish the Voyage stories, start new ones if I feel like it, but make some progress on Behemoth 47. (If someone could give me Permission to Write Badly, it might help, but I'm not sure I'd believe it.)

Well, I wrote pretty steadily until June, finished the outstanding Voyage stories and made inroads on Behemoth, then took a month off, failed to really get going again in August, and stopped. Starting again tomorrow, and this year I want to get to the end of Behemoth and revise that and the Voyage stories, and start accumulating ideas for the next thing.
