Today we broke a thirty-six-day streak of 100-degree temperatures, but it's been very humid. There were two storms last night; the one around sunset dropped the temperature by well over twenty degrees in less than an hour. The second was around midnight, pounding on the roof as I was trying to get to sleep. Between the two, we clocked up about a third of an inch; this is still not very impressive, considering that we're supposed to get about six inches -- half our annual rainfall -- in July and August -- but it's something.
