It's not supposed to rain in late April. But it is, right now, battering on the roof, splatting on the windows, rumbling a little in the distance. I'm leaving for my first Phoenix trip in a month in less than half an hour.
Rain is always welcome, of course. But ... did it have to be now?
Update: By the time I had to leave, the rain had stopped: by now, half an hour later, the air is already warming up again and the ground is only wet in patches.
