ellarien: cactus (desert)
I had to take the long way home from the grocery store because the sidewalk on my side was being washed, and I noticed something I hadn't spotted before. The bit of waste ground just south of the trailer park, past which I don't often walk, is now an archaeological site, where they're excavating a 700-year-old settlement. There isn't much to see, just some chain-link fence and the inevitable mobile sanitary facility. The noticeboard had a couple of URLs, but they're not terribly informative.

ellarien: writing is ... (writing)
A couple of expected guests, one unexpected one, and late-night conversation over chamomile tea. Needs a bit more atmospheric description, but I can add that in later.

Incidentally, Undone (Possible alternate title: Changeling) now has fifty more words than Defector. I think I may have lowballed the target wordage on both of them, but I hope not by too much.

Also, I should bear in mind that I skipped over a couple of scenes somewhere around the 3000 word mark, and need to go back and put them in eventually.

Mission Statement
