I left my camera on the desk at home this morning; considering the last few days' crop of crispy cactus flowers I wasn't too bothered.

Of course, today was the day I ran across an art installation in one of the walkways of the Students' Union building. It consisted of nine square panels, each about eighteen inches on a side, in a 3x3 grid suspended in mid-air, adorned on both sides with collages made up of old computer chips, old cellphones, colourful compact and floppy disks, scissors, pencils, a keyboard, blowups of an old issue of the student paper ...
There was no documentation with it whatsoever, just a ribbon barrier to keep the curious at arm's length.

Perhaps it will still be there tomorrow. It's a very odd thing to have it crop up in the middle of Finals week, though.

Mission Statement

Reading, writing, plant photography, and the small details of my life, with digressions into science and computing.
