I'm slowly getting less tired after the excesses of last week, I think. The weather here is beautiful, and the leaves are golden against the sky; the campus is quiet but not quite deserted. My latest Amazon order -- ink cartridges and Jane Austen paperbacks -- is trickling in by dribs and drabs, accompanied by ridiculous amounts of packaging. I feel vaguely guilty about straining the system by having non-festive needs at this time of year, but only vaguely; I just hope the last installment, currently somewhere between Oklahoma City and Phoenix, makes it here before Shipping and Receiving closes down on Friday.
I haven't seen my beer-ponging neighbours in a while; either they're totally engrossed in study, or they've gone home for the holidays. Their beat-up old desk is still out there, though.
It's peaceful; a little lull before the whirlwind of next year. I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend.
