I feel I ought to apologize for last Friday's photo -- not one of my better efforts. I was hoping it would look better on a decent screen, but it really doesn't.
It's been cloudy and humid all day today, with a ten per cent chance of rain that so far hasn't come to anything. (Our joke around the office is that ten per cent chances of rain turn up more often than not, sixty per cent hardly ever: the local weather forecasters are not all that reliable.) I doubt the promised 100 degree high temperature ever materialized; at odd moments, not all when walking past the door of an air-conditioned building, I felt actual coolness in the air, and I pottered around the apartment for nearly half and hour this evening before turning on the AC.
It's nice to have something other than CNN to watch. Now, if I could just motivate myself to start a handwork project ...
