Actual current update

I have nothing useful to say about Katrina, so I'll keep quiet. If and when things are calmer, I might have some musings about feelings of connectedness and their validity, but not right now. I find myself very much not wanting to read KSR's 'Forty Signs of Rain', which is in the to-read pile, at present.

I'll be in Birmingham on Monday and Tuesday; I hope to have some connectivity, but may not have time to post much if at all. After that, I should if all goes well be in the run-up to travelling back to the US.
