Wednesday, Boulder
Jul. 20th, 2005 08:31 pmI'm alive, and enjoying Boulder. Colorado is having a heatwave, but it still isn't so hot that it isn't possible for air-conditioning to achieve actual coolness, as opposed to just mitigating the worst discomforts of the heat. I've been sleeping better than I have since before the New Orleans trip at the beginning of May.
The one -- almost new, if inexpensive -- hair barette I brought with me has fallen apart, but I found two nice metal (not exactly inexpensive) ones in the CU bookstore this lunchtime. (I have an extensive collection of the things, but many of the oldest ones, dating back to my early days of gainful employment, have been failing lately.)I also purchased emergency reading material, as I wasn't convinced that half of Scardown and an Elizabeth George mystery would last me all the way home.
I am experiencing a niggling urge to buy and read all the HP books forthwith, after carefully avoiding them heretofore, just so I can follow what everyone is talking about. It will probably pass off before I get back from the upcoming UK trip, though.
