ellarien: bookshelves (books)
I see that the Locus website's list of forthcoming books has been updated. That sorts out what I want for my birthday and Christmas (Fforde and Pratchett, respectively). It also means that now have a grand total of 13 un-spoken-for slots in the purchasing schedule for 2005, none earlier than August.

The idea for this year was that the monthly quota would be 3-4 new acquisitions, 3-4 from the backlog and 2-4 rereads. What happened in January and February was 4 new acquisitions, 4 from the backlog, and no rereads. So far in March, I'm at one from the backlog and two new acquisitions, and the backlog stands at 40, almost half non-fiction. I might actually get that down to single figures this year, at this rate. It's a slightly scary thought.

The other scary thing is that despite the much slower acquisitions rate lately, I'm running low on shelf-space again, and I'm getting to the point where it isn't obvious where the next set of shelves will fit.
