Off again

I'm leaving at 7am tomorrow for Boulder, CO, where the forecast is 'snow', and temperatures in the low 40's at best. Here it's been in the 60's and 70's, and intermittently wet. My plan is to pack my winter coat -- the wool one with the deciduous buttons -- and etc in the top of my suitcase, fly in the jacket of my Sunday navy suit, and whip out the coat before leaving Denver airport. I think I still have some gloves somewhere ...


Leaving in 11 hours, and I haven't even had dinner yet, let alone started packing. Sigh.

Packing Update

Okay, blue non-metallic slacks are in the wash, so grey slacks and the grey jacket from my 1988 interview suit. Two pairs of zipped slacks for non-airport wear, several sweaters in both blue and grey/burgundy/black color schemes; hair ties; socks; underwear. Hat, scarf, gloves, coat. Spare coat buttons, needles and thread. Sunday suit, hat and a pair of hose, in case of unforeseen circumstances meaning I can't get home but can get to church in Denver at the weekend. Talk backed up to CD, flash drive, and my workstation at work; resisting the urge to put it also on the camera's memory stick and the other flash drive. Crochet supplies. Bible. Three books (Hammered, Crossing the Line, and The Atrocity Archives); plot box; camera; battery charger. Umbrella. CD case with Myst IV, a Hornblower DVD, and two Stargate DVDs. Assorted papers I might get around to reading. Alarm clock -- which seems to have stayed in my laptop case since the previous trip. Earphones. Business cards. Check book. Absence of sharp objects in laptop bag. Five and a half hours to alarm clock.
