It was raining most of the day, soft warm rain from a soft grey sky, so the campus flora went unphotographed. Instead, I went down to the computer store in the bookstore basement, to see if they had the printer I wanted. They didn't, and the rather similar one they did have turned out, when I went back to the office to research them, to be an discontinued model. It's a small store, and I don't think they do a huge amount of turnover in hardware. I ended ordering the model I wanted online. The technology has, not surprisingly, come on a lot in the last seven years, with digital photography no doubt being a big driver in recent years. What I mostly want to do is print letters and forms and Sunday School worksheets, for which a cheap laser would also work, but I also rather like the idea of being able to make decent prints of selected photos.
