Entropy

I had another lunchtime photographic stroll, still getting the feel of the camera. The light wasn't ideal, bright but pale, so that everything looks rather washed-out. It occurred to me that everyday entropy operates differently here. At home, water is the destroyer; leaves and petals and stray paper rot, dissolving into slime, washing away at last to clog the storm-drains. Here, the sunlight steals moisture and colour, leaving pale brittle skeletons that wither away to dust and blow away in the wind.
