Good: My knees seem to have forgiven me for the weekend.
Bad: I think I'm getting a cold.

Bad: With both New Computer and its identical twin on the other side of the office up on desks to avoid the annual incursion of the floor-cleaners, the noise level in my office today was untenable.
Good: The library has comfy chairs next to a power strip and a wireless access point, so that's where I spent most of the day.

Bad: The Student Union eateries are all closed this week.
Good: Our favourite local coffee shop was open, serving lunch, and not too crowded. I ordered a baked potato with cheese and salsa, and it came before I had drunk half my coffee.

Good: The CD of proceedings from the conference I attended in July has arrived.
Bad: I swapped the CD for the Myst:Revelation DVD in my laptop drive, and left the Myst disk at work, though at least I rescued it from the library.

Bad: I turned off New Computer when I left this evening, which means that I won't be able to work on it from home this evening.
Good: This will at least be convenient to the computer guy when he moves it back to the floor in the morning, and if all goes well it will be back before I get in tomorrow.

Bad: With the students and most University employees gone, the average scariness level of bus riders in the evening goes up noticeably.
Good: I got home safely anyway.
