Volcanoes in the Kuiper Belt?
Dec. 9th, 2004 08:19 pmVolcanic Activity Possible on Object Beyond Neptune
Apparently, there's a tentative detection of crystalline water ice on this Kuiper Belt object (about half the diameter of Pluto), and that's giving rise to speculation that there might be live or at least recent volcanic activity. This might make a setting for a story about a really remote solar-system outpost.
