ellarienCherryh's Pretender came out on Tuesday. It wasn't in the campus bookstore on Tuesday, or on Wednesday. Today, when my Amazon order finally moved to 'shipping soon' status, there it was. I'm not sure if that is more or less annoying than the more usual case where I end up buying the full-price bookstore copy and cancelling the Amazon order.
As I frequently remind myself, I am not short of things to read; it really won't kill me to wait another week for my Bren fix.
