Cold Snap!

ellarienIt was actually almost cool today, which is to say that the high temperature was in the high 70's. I wore my new purple jacket and jeans, just because I could, and it felt great. (I have a sneaking suspicion the jeans are a couple of inches shorter than the conventional ideal, but I like them that way; I can't stand trouser-cuffs flopping over my shoes any more than I can stand hair flopping over my face.) The sky was clear; the light was crisp and particular. The pink chorisia tree on the campus has a couple of flowers, beautifully marked but unfortunately out of range.
I wonder if the campus bookstore will have the new Robert Jordan tomorrow?
