I don't think it's raining any more, but it's still very grey and damp, and there isn't much long-range visibility. (In hilly Sheffield, it makes a difference.) The autumn crocuses in town were a sodden battered mess this morning.

I've done all I can on the work front, I think; there's no point starting anything new for two hours. I've written a report on what I've been doing lately. I've uploaded all the refugee laptop files to the work computer in Tucson.

Tomorrow I have to get up at the crack of dawn to catch the train to Manchester, to catch the plane to Atlanta, where I will, all being well, catch another plane to Tucson and get to my apartment around bedtime. The following morning, I suppose, I'll be heading for Best Buy to see what they can do about my defunct hard drive. I'm not exactly looking forward to a 24-hour journey with no functioning computer, but I do have a couple of thick paperbacks that I hope will keep me sane.
